Early results don’t disturb GOP's advantage in House
Excerpt:Republicans are expected to keep control of the House of Representatives in Tuesday's vote, but Democrats could cut into their majority in the lower house of Congress. By James Eng, NBC NewsUpdated at 9:26 p.m. ET: Two years after reclaiming control of Congress’ lower chamber, Republicans on Tuesday were to hold onto their hefty majority in the U.S. House, NBC News projected. Entering Tuesday’s elections, Republicans held a 240-190 advantage (five House seats are vacant -- two formerly GOP-held and three Democratic seats). By 9 p.m. ET, polls had closed in most states, and NBC News projected that Republicans would win enough seats to comfortably hang on to their majority. Democrats need a net gain of 25 seats to win control of the lower chamber – a tall order by most analysts’ predictions.

Key:
- Aggregate Sentiment is meant to be an indicator of an individual's overall sentiment.
- The Mean is meant to be an indicator of an individual's average comment sentiment.
- The Standard Deviation, when there are enough quotes, will indicate an individual's consistency of sentiment (i.e. a Standard Deviation of 0 would mean they were very consistent in their sentiment and 1 would mean they were very inconsistent).
Note that quote stats are likely to be meaningless beyond the aggregate score due to the tiny sample size. However, they are always provided just in case you find something useful there.
