YANGON - A train in Myanmar holding gasoline derailed and burst into flames, killing at least 25 people and hurting 62, most of them villagers attempting to gather fuel spilled in the accident, state television stated. MRTV stated the fire began after three cars loaded with petrol turned over near a town in Kanbalu township, near the Indian border, simply over 300 miles north of Yangon, Myanmar's biggest city. Homeowners of Chekgyi village were gathered at the accident website attempting to gather spilled petrol when they were caught in the fire. Some 70 percent of Myanmar's 60 million people live on ranches, where fuel is scarce. A railway division official told Reuters the death toll might increase as some villagers were seriously wounded. Later on this month, President Obama will come to be the first U.S. president to see Myanmar.
